How to Program Your Mind to Achieve Your Goals (1 of 2)
Video Recap: As humans we only are CONSCIOUSLY aware of about 10% of our behaviors/thoughts each day. Our SUBCONSCIOUS mind controls 90% of our behaviors/thoughts every day.
This can be SCARY at first thought.
Our subconscious mind is controlling 90% of our day?!?
The subconscious tries to take things off of your plate that you have formed a 'habit' of. This frees up your CONSCIOUS mind to focus on what you want instead of focusing your thoughts and attention on EVERY little thing you need to do.
Here's an example: Your heart pumps blood CONSTANTLY throughout the day. That is not something you consciously tell your heart or body to do. You don't think about it, it just happens. That is your subconscious doing you a favor and telling the heart to pump so that you don't have to think about it all day long.
The thing is though... your subconscious tries to make your life easier by programming certain behaviors/thoughts deep inside of your mind so that you don't have to consciously think about them anymore... it does it for you.
This can work AGAINST you if you are filling your head with negative thoughts or negative habits (eating fast food every single day)...
Your subconscious will try to PROGRAM those behaviors into your everyday schedule in order to help you not have to THINK to do those things anymore.
This is why it becomes a habit then to eat a bunch of junk food or eat out, because your subconscious is programmed to do that after seeing your pattern.
The same with confidence... if you talk yourself down all the time and people around you fill your head with doubt and fear, then your subconscious starts to run that program in your mind every single day.
