Why Won't She Text Me Back?

We all know the feeling of texting someone... then not getting a response.  

Let's talk about WHY this might be that she won't text back.

Even if this doesn't match your current situation, this should help you avoid more situations like this in the future.  

Needing to hear from her:

A common situation usually occurs when a man has a mindset about 'needing' a text back from a woman.  

Men that fit into this category seem to have one mindset that cripples them in the texting game.  

These are the men who think:
“I must instantly text back now.”  

If that is how you think about texting, then it makes sense why you are expecting her to 'need' to text you back as well.

The truth is though... no one is required to text you back.  It may not be fun to hear, but knowing that truth, it allows you to more easily 'let go' of feeling like everyone should text you back all of the time.

Don't get me wrong, I know that these types of people do generally have the best intentions in mind, but that doesn't mean it is a good strategy.  

It all has to do with impatience.

Impatience:

The message you send to the person you are texting is a lot more than what just meets the eye.  

So let's examine what message you are sending when you decide to play the 'impatient' or 'eager' game in texting.

What happens is at first, texting someone new is FUN.

There are few better feelings than of getting to know someone new, not knowing what your future will hold together.  

Quick replies are often flattering and even entertaining to the person you are texting... at least at first.  

However - this enthusiasm quickly turns to annoyance when this pattern happens over time.  

The 'Honeymoon period' of that bright, shiny, new phone number wears off eventually, and that leaves many wondering - "WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED". 

Women Like Mystery:

Men who constantly text end up revealing so much about themselves and their lives, that the mystery wears off faster.  

It takes the 'honeymoon period' and speeds through it far too quickly.  

It becomes smothering to the person on the other end of the line.  

Give Women Space:

If you give them a chance to breathe, enjoy their space, they might think of you as someone who is confident enough to hold their ground.  Confident enough to be okay without texting all day long.  

So What Do I Do From Here?:

If you are in that position of having sent the last text and not getting one back, I always suggest to HOLD OUT.  

Of course that is easier said than done, but time does heal everything.  

I would wait at least a week, then if you really can't help it, you can reach out to her again.  

This time though, if she replies, take your TIME to respond to her.  

That will teach her that it is okay to text you back, since she won't feel obligated to text you ALL DAY LONG like you may have expected from her in the past.
