They always build up the drama and make it seem like the guy that tattles or gossips is 'doing the right thing' and he's just such a good guy looking out for the woman's interests.

WRONG.

If you gossip and tattle on other men, you are put into the 'gay best friend' category.

The guy that she has NO sexual thoughts or feelings for, but now she knows she can gossip about the drama with her new gay best friend.

So...

 Not only does it make you look like a weak little Betamon, but it actually BUILDS the social proof of the guy you are tattling on.

For instance - if you try to 'warn' a girl about a man and tell her that he is a big player and he just plays with the hearts of women.

THAT ACTUALLY MAKES HER MORE ATTRACTED.
