Women are biologically programmed to pick the highest 'status' man that she possibly can get, so that she has the highest chance of survival for herself and her kids (or future kids). This is known as Female hypergamy.

 
That seems reasonable.

UNTIL you understand that this 'instinct' in women never fades.

That means if she ends up meeting a man that has higher 'status' and she believes she can get him... Then that female hypergamy ACTS and this is known as 'monkey branching' and now the original man is left in the dust for the new man with higher status.

This has been the 'game' of attraction for a long time. The warning us men need to be VERY cautious of these days is if you are considering marriage or having a child with a woman.

Because of this 'instinct' - you could theoretically have a woman leave you, divorce you, 'monkey branch' to another man. If that isn't bad enough, the divorce courts and family courts are so terrible towards men that you find yourself not only heartbroken but now your life is potentially in shambles.
