In summary, from the earliest stages of life us men are usually praised and scolded from mostly female role models.  This instills a 'craving' for female validation and female approval.

As men we need to be aware of this so that we can CONSCIOUSLY choose to become our own slave master and become in charge of handing out that praise and scolding ourselves (so we don't need to rely on a woman or someone else to do that for us).

Also note that the MORE you become your own 'slave master' - the more women will naturally look up to you and respect you.
